KY Pâtisserie

KY Pâtisserie is a pastry brand based in Singapore that creates French-inspired pastries for Singaporeans with a sweet tooth. Intrigued by French flavours from a vacation to France, Pastry Chef Wesley Lim eventually pursued pastry in Le Cordon Bleu Paris with a desire and passion to bring a little bit of France to Singapore. KY’s mission is to create modern and aesthetically beautiful pastries inspired by traditional French flavours and culture, using high quality ingredients, to deliver a premium experience that that will bring joy to the consumers.

The branding of KY Pâtisserie celebrates the blend of the modern and traditional elements that is presented in every pastry using a play and mix of traditional and modern typefaces — Adobe Garamond Pro and Gotham. An angled line runs across the two to differentiate yet present a coming together — positioning KY Pâtisserie as the cutting edge of modern French pastries. The brand palette is comprises of deep shades of blue, with influence from the pastry chef’s roots, Le Cordon Bleu (French for "The Blue Ribbon") and how it became almost synonymous with excellence. This sets the brand tone to be premium and of high quality. This brand identity is carried through in the brand collaterals and packaging.

To further build this brand, photography and quality visuals were created from the kitchen of chef himself, capturing the authentic and raw images of the fresh pastries that have just come out of the oven. This visuals are used for content pieces on social media and for product listings on KY’s online shop. See their instagram @kypatisserie.
